Director General de la Policía Nacional

El Honorable Señor Director General de la Policía Nacional, Jaime Fernández R. nació el 29 de septiembre de 1978.

El 5 de julio de 2024, Jaime Fernández R. recibió el banderín de manos del Excelentísimo Señor Presidente de la República José Raúl Mulino, al ser designado Director General de la Policía Nacional.

Fernández es graduado de Ingeniería Industrial de la Universidad Santa María La Antigua y egresado del Instituto Panamericano de Alta Dirección de Empresa AD-2 (IPADE).

También realizó estudios en Elevating Finance and Operations (Finanzas y Operaciones) en Wharton - University of Pennsylvania, Key Executive Program International (Programa Internacional para Ejecutivos Clave) en London Business School (LBS) y obtuvo una maestría en Ingeniería Industrial en The University of Lousville en el año 2023.

A lo largo de su carrera profesional ha prestado sus servicios en reconocidas empresas, donde se ha desempeñado como socio, presidente, director y gerente general de diferentes empresas como CPS Seguros S.A., AFTA - Insurance Services, S.A., Aerolínea Panameña FLYTRIP.

Asimismo, ha sido miembro de la Junta Directiva del Consejo Nacional de la Empresa Privada (CONEP) en el periodo 2000 a diciembre de 2001 y director de la Cámara de Comercio Industrias y Agricultura de Colón.

The Honorable Jaime Fernández R., Director General of the National Police of Panama, was born on September 29, 1978. He officially assumed leadership of the institution on July 5, 2024, when he was entrusted with the command banner by the President of the Republic, H.E. José Raúl Mulino.

Director Fernández holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from Universidad Santa María La Antigua and is a distinguished graduate of the Pan-American Institute for High Business Management (IPADE), AD-2 program. His commitment to academic excellence is further reflected in his advanced studies at world-renowned institutions, including the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania (Elevating Finance and Operations), London Business School (Key Executive Program International), and the University of Louisville, where he earned a Master´s in Industrial Engineering in 2023.

With an extensive background in the private sector, Director Fernández has held prominent leadership roles such as partner, president, director, and general manager in various respected companies, including CPS Seguros S.A., AFTA - Insurance Services S.A., and the Panamanian airline FLYTRIP.

He has also demonstrated a strong commitment to national development through his service on the board of the National Council of Private Enterprise (CONEP) from 2000 to December 2001, as well as his tenure as Director of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture of Colón.
